The Wren inside
This shouldn’t be happening.
Not again.
When Wren Tolken woke up all alone and with nightmares from the past crowding around her, she had no idea that her life would once again take an unexpected turn. Forced to leave her mother behind to tackle her own demons in LA, Wren returned to the small central California town of Tepic with her father – Mr. Absent, himself.
But fifteen with no memories of the first ten years of her life, Wren was used to things being out of her control. Tepic, however, was a place that refused to be forgotten. Rich and powerful, her father’s family was considered the First Family of the town, untouchable and enigmatic.
Struggling to fit into a life she doesn’t understand and doesn’t want, Wren tries her best to do the one thing she’s really good at – disappearing in plain sight. She soon finds out anonymity is no longer an option. She might not remember her time in Tepic, but everyone else sure does…Especially Danny, her former best friend, who pushes her to accept that her family isn’t just ‘enigmatic,’ they’re not who they appear to be and he needs her help to find out what they did to his parents.
